With the Mind Control mastery that was developed in the early 23rd century, the emergence of a new type of slavery was just a question of time. In 2211, the technocratic government of Russia developed a prototype of human-based cybernetic combat unit, which went by the name of Oxana. She was extensively outfitted with communications hardware, data-processing units and state-of-the art software, designed to break into and take control of just about any cybernetic system, including both AIs and cyborgized humans. Several breeds of specialized bionanobots complemented the suite. After the target was disabled by software attack, nanomachines proceeded to construct temporary mind-control systems linked to its nervous system. Even purely biological targets weren't safe - they still could be assaulted by bionanobots. Enslaved beings were soon ready to serve their new masters. Russians never used this kind of warfare extensively, but with the emergence of South African and Indonesian Cyberhive societies of the 2230's it became a common sight. By that time, the term Dominatrix became a norm for describing this kind of special units.
