The Land Warrior program was first developed by the US Army in early 21st century, according to the doctrine of "one soldier equals one unit", as opposed of each soldier being only a part of a larger team. This new approach was backed up by the latest technology of the time by integrating armor, weapons, and electronic equipment into one heavily-computerised system. Despite many technical obstacles (and numerous relaunches of the project under different codenames), the USA succeeded in introducing this system to most infantry units by 2030. While expensive, the LW system significantly reduced number of fatalities and increased lethality of each combatant, and it largely shaped the face of land warfare for decades to come.
