Electricity opened the way for many new technologies and in the process, Electric Power revolutionized the structure of our cities. In order to distribute electricity, each home required its own electric wire connected through power stations to a generator. Later homes needed telephone lines as well, and nations required elaborate switching systems to maintain a central phone system. Through this network, Electrification expanded public space from the city center across the entire nation and spun a web of interconnected experience over thousands of miles.
