The first half of the 22nd century was a hard time for humanity, tormented by pollution and social unrest on one hand, dazed by the galloping technology on the other. The Cybertronics, although purely technological, was an important step in regulating these processes. By developing and standardising means of integration between human and synthetic brain, Cybertronics set the way for future society that was no longer composed of just human and machines, but where hybrid individuals were the majority, like humans with cybernetically enhanced brains or AIs with remotely operated physical bodies. None of these achievements were truly new, but Cybertronics made them widely available, everyday experience.
